Peter Engel awarded BA in History two years after retiring

UMBC CSEE faculty member and Associate VP for Research Development Don Engel and his family saw his father, Peter "Pete" Engel, graduate from UMBC in December with a bachelor's degree in history. 

Peter Engel graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1972 and went on to get a law degree there. When he retired two years ago, he enrolled in UMBC's Golden ID program, which allows seniors to take courses tuition free.

His current plans include pursuing a Master's degree in history at UMBC. You can read more about this in the Baltimore Sun.
