CSEE Research Lightning Talks and Lab Open House

Learn about ongoing research projects, meet the faculty, visit their labs, and get involved in research in UMBC's CSEE Department.  Research projects include a broad spectrum of activities in computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering.  Specific areas include AI, machine learning, robotics, cybersecurity, privacy, IoT, cyber-physical systems, VLSI, computer architecture, quantum computing, graphics, visualization, hardware systems, signal processing, communications, photonics, and more. Free and open to the public

The day will start with a breakfast for new CSEE graduate students from 8:00 am to 9:00 am in ITE 325b.

Between 9 am and 11 am, faculty members will give short talks on their research in ITE 104 (lecture hall VII). Presentation slides.

From 11 am to 1 pm, participating labs will be open for students to visit, see demonstrations, and meet some of their members.

Everyone is invited to participate in the Convocation celebration from 3:30 to 4:30, which brings faculty, staff, and students together in the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena for the formal beginning of a new academic year.
