Biography
Dr. Zeynep Kacar is a statistician and researcher specializing in computational methods for cancer research and statistical methods in health care data. Dr. Kacar earned her Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Maryland, where her research focused on dissecting tumor clonality in liver cancer using computational and statistical tools.
With extensive teaching experience at institutions including the University of Georgia, University of Maryland and American University, Dr. Kacar excels in conveying complex statistical and machine learning concepts. She is proficient in R, Matlab, and Python, with strong expertise in bioinformatics and data visualization. Dr. Kacar is dedicated to advancing the field of statistics through her research, teaching, and professional development.
